Probably, your home refrigerator holds enough food and beverages to feed your family members at a given time for about a week. On the other hand, a commercial refrigeration unit that we often see in restaurants has to be stocked with enough food products to keep the business full of happy and satisfied customers; or with surplus just in case.
Size and capacity are indeed two of the most obvious differences between a domestic and commercial refrigerator but there are few more distinctions you need to know. One of which is that commercial refrigerators cannot be bought from any appliance store in your local area.
Instead, you can only purchase them from trusted commercial refrigerator suppliers. Such companies are the most capable of doing repairs whenever they break or decrease in performance. Keep in mind that they are more complicated than the ones we are using at home so make sure that you’ll be hiring a certified commercial refrigeration repairman.
Aside from where you can buy them, commercial appliances are much more powerful than standard models. This is in part because they’re larger and must cool more food at once. Commercial refrigerators are also designed to be more powerful so that all food that goes out of the kitchen is safe for customers to eat especially that for a restaurant setting, there are health department codes related to the temperature at which food must be stored.
Residential fridges can come in a variety of shapes, sizes, and materials. Depending on your kitchen decor, you can choose a coloured exterior, a plastic finish, or a shiny metal surface. Make sure that you’ll get the right model your business needs. Also, make sure that the unit you buy has environmental-friendly features and is safe to use — please see AHAM.org for details.
